Amanda's lifelong passions for music and dance converged fatefully on the day she witnessed her first bellydance performance. She began her proper study of he form while attending Oberlin College, where she became a member of the Aicha Bellydance Troupe under the direction of Adriane Dellorco. In 2005 she relocated to NYC where she began performing professionally. In NY Amanda has studied extensively with Kaeshi of Bellyqueen, Elena Lentini, Mimi Fontana, Morocco and Tarik Sultan. Amanda has also studied several other dance forms including ballet, modern, American Tribal Style, balinese dance and mime. While her performance style is primarily Egyptian Cabaret her love for other styles and disciplines is evident in her dance.
In April of 2009 Amanda played the role of the goddes Innana in an original dance production peformed for a NYC charity event. Amanda also has performed as part of the International Street Cannibals concert series at St. Marks in the Bowery.
Amanda is available for performances and private events. She has danced regularly at NYC area restaurants including Tagine Dining Gallery, L'Orange Bleue, Mamlouk, Dandana, Sahara East, Aldiwan & Toscas, as well as private parties. Please see contact page for info.
